The Foundry – a place for change – is the result of a collaboration between a number of leading Trusts and Foundations and the Ethical Property Company. Based in Vauxhall, London, it provides space for some of the country’s most innovative and progressive social justice and human rights organisations through the provision of ethically managed and affordable workspace, conference facilities, events and exhibition space that will support the local community, the wider public and the social change sector.
The Foundry公司總部建筑一半是維多利亞時代的工廠，一半當代現(xiàn)代，凝土、玻璃和木材表面，還獲得2015年英國皇家建筑師學會倫敦地區(qū)獎。
Studio Wolfstrome公司負責這個建筑的尋路標牌和公共藝術(shù)作品，標牌的應用材料選擇了低本成的復合木板，工藝也是極為簡單的絲印和噴涂的方式，個性的排版隨處可見的文字、指示融入在這個凝土空間里，讓原本冷清的空間充滿藝術(shù)氣氛。
他們將有名思想家、地區(qū)領(lǐng)袖的人像以文字排版形式藝術(shù)化的呈現(xiàn)，用文字敘說世界歷史和現(xiàn)代社會。
